Hi I’m Kristen. I drink my coffee black and my whiskey neat.

On any given day I’m a perfect storm of coffee and dry shampoo, and I love the movie “Frozen” independently of my kids.  You can usually find me hanging out with my husband and our two kids in our small, Colorado suburb while we chase food trucks and the American Dream.

I’m a colossal over-achiever, and I’ve always wanted to be “that” Super Mom: the one who always has it together. Her house is always clean, both her socks match, and I just know she smells amazing.

…but I’ve found that instead of assuming that everyone else has it together and I’m just desperately trying to keep up, when I raise my hand and say, “LIFE IS MESSY AND I DON’T HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS,” I’m met with understanding and a resounding “ME TOO.”

I have to wonder how often we would find that we’re in good company if we just shared what was really happening day to day: good or bad, positive or negative, beautiful or seemingly ugly?

What you’ll find here are real stories about life’s imperfections and how we can all find strength in imperfection, beauty in the mess, joy and peace in the midst of the fear of not feeling ‘good enough.’

I hope that by reading one of my blogs or listening to my podcast, you’ll feel like you’re not alone.  I hope you feel like the ‘me too’ voice comes through louder than the ‘not enough’ that seems to be screaming at us on a regular basis.  I hope that after reading just one of my ‘love notes,’ you’ll feel your enough-ness, and that you’ll keep coming back…because a girl can’t have too many friends!

Kisses and side-hugs,
